The Modernistics are Ted Powers, guitar, ukulele, banjo, tap and vocals; Pamela Powers, tap and vocals; Peter H. Bloom, flute; Mark Leighton, guitar; and Dave Zox, double-bass.  The five artists have performed and taught extensively in the United States and abroad.  The group performs upbeat shows of Music and Dance from the Great American Songbook, with crowd-pleasing favorites by Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Dorothy Fields, and other master tunesmiths. 

The Modernistics are celebrating the 2020s with a new show, The Twenties Roar Again!, featuring hit tunes like Blue Skies, Stardust, Love Me or Leave Me, I Want to Be Happy, It Had to be You,  and Let's Misbehave, to name a few.

Updated Covid Policy (as of 7/1/2022): Masking is optional for persons who have been vaccinated against Covid. Masking is requested for persons who are not vaccinated. If you are unwell, please do not attend this event. This policy is subject to change. 

Bar: Wine, beer, and soft drinks will be available for purchase at this event. Photo ID required.
